Boquete, Panama

Sunrise from the top of Volcan Baru. 11,398'. 27 hours without sleep. Hiked through the night. Full moon, stars, weird jungle and cloud forest noises.

Miss Valerie, owner of a Kawi KLR back in Canada, sleep walked our way up. No signs at the actual summit.

The crew

New Years Eve. Great blues band. So these two girls showed up the day before. Intros went something like this, "Hi, Kevin. Hi, Colleen. Huh, I have a sister colleen. Hi, Maureen. Huh, I have a cousin Maureen. A little irish in the family. absolutely" Mo and Leen did the Irish proud.

I'm off to the beach(es) again

More brief postings. After leaving Ometepe I beelined across to the Pacific again. Spent the night in San Juan del Sur.

I think this was Manuel Antonio after getting out of San Jose, CR. Sunset shots are getting too numerous and boring.

Ometepe

These are going to be some curt posts as I am too far behind to do them right. At least a few pics though.

Ometepe is such a unique place. Two volcanos in the middle of the largest freshwater lake in central america. Was excited to see it and explore. If there are any fellow Dirk Pitt/Clive Cussler fans, it was pretty cool.

It was also pretty cool to pull up to the ferry dock and see that it was the "Che".

I still haven't been able to find a che decal for mi moto. Hopefully once I get to South America.

Granada

Loved this place.

Played some hoop here with the locals too.

Terry before the ride to Ometepe.

From first customer to first employee due to his intrepid scooter riding skills. Too funny. I'll have to tell the rest of that story in the Ometepe post next.

Coast of El Salvador one of the highlights of the trip so far.

Antigua

Still love this place. Beautiful and colonial and smoking volcanos but its become more touristy, busy.
